POSITION SUMMARY : The Data and MEAL Coordinator supports the implementation of Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) systems across the Gaza country program. The role focuses on coordinating data management processes, supporting monitoring activities, ensuring data quality, and contributing to reporting and learning processes. Working under the supervision of the MEAL Manager, the coordinator assists in maintaining data systems, supporting field monitoring, managing digital data platforms, and ensuring accurate and timely data collection and reporting. The position plays a key role in operationalizing MEAL processes and strengthening evidence-based program implementation. This position is being advertised contingent upon award; while the recruitment process will proceed as part of organizational preparedness, no formal offer will be extended until funding is confirmed PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Data Management and Monitoring Support the implementation of MEAL systems across projects in coordination with the MEAL Manager. Assist in maintaining indicator tracking tables, project databases, and monitoring tools. Coordinate data collection processes and ensure timely submission of monitoring data from field teams and partners. Support the use and maintenance of digital data platforms such as DHIS2, Kobo Toolbox, and Power BI dashboards. Conduct routine data verification, data cleaning, and validation to ensure accuracy and completeness. Assist in preparing datasets and summaries for internal and external reporting. Data Quality Assurance Support the implementation of Data Quality Assessments (DQAs) and routine data verification exercises. Identify inconsistencies or gaps in data and coordinate with program teams to resolve them. Maintain organized data repositories and documentation of monitoring tools and datasets. Ensure adherence to internal data management protocols and donor reporting standards. Monitoring and Reporting Support Assist in compiling monthly, quarterly, and donor reports by consolidating program data. Synthesize multi-sectoral data into high-level monthly, quarterly, and annual donor reports, highlighting key project impacts and performance indicators. Support tracking of project indicators and progress against targets. Support preparation of dashboards, visualizations, and analytical summaries to inform decision-making. Contribute to monitoring visits, remote monitoring activities, and beneficiary verification processes. Drive evidence-based decision-making by producing sophisticated data visualizations and analytical summaries for stakeholders. Oversee field and remote monitoring missions, implementing rigorous beneficiary verification processes to ensure program transparency. Accountability to Affected Populations Support the implementation and documentation of complaints and feedback mechanisms (CFMs). Assist in maintaining complaint databases and tracking responses and follow-up actions. Contribute to beneficiary verification processes and monitoring of community feedback. Ensure proper documentation and confidentiality of sensitive information. Learning and Knowledge Management Assist in documenting lessons learned, success stories, and best practices from project monitoring. Support the organization of data review meetings, learning sessions, and reflection workshops. Maintain organized knowledge management systems and documentation of MEAL resources. Contribute to evidence generation and learning products used for program improvement. Learning Knowledge Management Facilitate high-impact learning sessions and data review meetings to translate monitoring findings into organizational best practices. Curate a centralized knowledge management system, documenting success stories, lessons learned, and evidence-based products for future program modeling. Mentor and build the capacity of field teams on digital literacy and data collection standards to improve the overall quality of field reporting. QUALIFICATIONS A degree in public health, statistics, information management, social sciences, international development, or a related field. 3–5 years of experience in Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, Learning, or data management, preferably in humanitarian or development contexts. Experience using digital data platforms such as DHIS2, Kobo Toolbox, Excel, or Power BI. Strong skills in data management, data cleaning, and basic data analysis. Experience supporting monitoring activities, surveys, or data collection systems. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work collaboratively with program teams in a complex operational environment. Fluency in English and Arabic.
