Coles 360 is the retail media arm of Coles Group, partnering with suppliers to deliver data-driven advertising solutions that connect brands with customers at scale. With over 7,000 campaigns delivered annually, we are continuing to invest in our analytics capability to better support commercial outcomes for both Coles and our partners.

We’re looking for a Data Analyst to join our team and play a key role in elevating how campaign performance is measured, understood, and actioned.

 

About the Role

This is a high-impact role focused on moving beyond standard reporting to deliver meaningful, actionable insights. You will work across campaign data, customer behaviour, and media performance to shape decision-making for internal stakeholders and external suppliers.

You’ll sit within a team spanning BAU reporting, advanced insights, and business scaling initiatives, with a strong focus on standardisation, scalability, and commercial impact.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver in-depth campaign analysis, translating data into clear, actionable insights
  • Generate forward-looking recommendations to drive optimisation, personalisation, and improved campaign performance
  • Analyse customer purchasing behaviour and product selection trends to uncover commercial opportunities
  • Validate and operationalise campaign measurement methodologies, ensuring consistency and accuracy
  • Build and maintain scalable, reusable datasets and reporting frameworks
  • Ensure data quality and integrity through QA and pipeline oversight
  • Translate insights into compelling commercial narratives for suppliers and stakeholders
  • Own key stakeholder relationships and deliver high-quality, insight-led outputs
  • Support broader data initiatives across the Coles 360 business

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in campaign or marketing analytics (essential)
  • Strong analytical capability with experience working across large, complex datasets
  • Ability to move beyond reporting into insight generation and storytelling
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence commercial outcomes
  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment

 

Nice to Have

  • Experience with A/B testing or experimentation frameworks
  • Exposure to Retail Media environments
  • Proficiency in Python for analysis or automation
  • Experience with Snowflake or similar cloud data platforms
