Daily Substitute Teacher (Up to $175 per Day!)

Middle School - $175 Per Day
Elementary- $150 Per Day
Job Summary:
Instructs students in their learning and controls the class room environment in the absence of the regular teacher. The daily substitute role does not have a set schedule and has the autonomy to select the days they would like to work based on scheduled call outs for those days. This position is not responsible for creating lesson plans or grading assignments. The compensation for this role is $150/day.
Essential Functions:
- Provides classroom instruction to students as outlined in lesson plans
- Creates a classroom that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity
and interests of students - Maintains a safe and orderly environment
- Maintains established routine of the school and classroom procedures in which
assigned - Maintains a professional appearance as an example to students
- Remains at school the entire school day, unless otherwise instructed to leave by
building principal - Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment,
materials, and facilities - Maintains reasonable rules of conduct which encourage self-discipline and
responsibility - Communicates effectively with building leadership
- Meets and instructs assigned classes in the locations and times designated
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Pennsylvania Criminal Record Check Clearance
- Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance
- FBI Criminal Background Clearance
Demonstrated Knowledge of:
- MS Office Suite
- The fundamentals of working with various students, parents, other teachers and leadership
Demonstrated Ability to:
- Take and follow directions as indicated by the classroom teacher
- Effectively manage time and effectively manage students in the classroom
- Work well with students of all ages
