Purpose of the position
As an IT Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring reliable IT support and continuous improvement of systems across the German organization. You will contribute to the setup and operation of 1st‑ and 2nd‑level support, provide hands‑on assistance to employees (software and hardware), and support critical applications, networks, and security environments.
In parallel, you will work closely with the German IT team on development, digitization, and optimization initiatives, including web and Microsoft‑based solutions and nationwide IT projects. This role requires a proactive, structured approach, strong technical skills, and close collaboration with various business departments in a dynamic, international environment.
Main Responsibilities
Establishment of and collaboration in a support team (1st & 2nd level) for several applications in the
corporate environment
Development for web and MS-based software
General IT support for our employees (software and hardware) incl. on-site support
at our German locations
Development and implementation of optimizations in the supported processes
Supporting the IT team in Germany with the introduction and optimization of
Digitization processes and other nationwide projects

Requirements
Completed IT training or a degree in computer science
Professional experience in the IT sector
Ideally, you have experience in the customs or logistics sector
Deep understanding of network and network protocols, AVD/WVD Azure Terminal applications.
Good to very good knowledge of MS Office, Office 365 roles
Understanding of firewall techniques such as Layer 3/4/7 firewalls
At least 1 programming language
Good knowledge of English and German
Structured and independent way of working as well as holistic thinking
Strong communication skills and enjoy working with other departments
