How you create impact

  • Prepare and process customs entry documentation to ensure timely and accurate clearance of merchandise through U.S. Customs & Border Protection and applicable Participating Government Agencies (PGAs), including FDA, EPA, DOT, FCC, and Fish & Wildlife.
  • Enter, validate, and process shipment data in compliance with customer SOPs, regulatory requirements, and brokerage procedures.
  • Classify goods according to customer instructions and established compliance guidelines.
  • Review import documentation for accuracy and completeness, identifying discrepancies and taking appropriate corrective action.
  • Request, compile, and maintain required import documentation from customers, overseas offices, and internal teams.
  • Complete all required PGA data submissions and interfaces accurately and within required timeframes.
  • Monitor brokerage workflows within CargoWise to ensure all required steps in the entry and clearance process are completed.
  • Conduct audit reviews of assigned brokerage files and related customs payments to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
  • Scan, archive, and maintain electronic records of customs entry and compliance documentation.
  • Communicate entry numbers, clearance status, documentation discrepancies, and resolution updates to carriers, customers, overseas offices, and internal stakeholders.
  • Review and manage Customs rejections, requests for information, and agency correspondence related to assigned entries, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Support delivery coordination and invoicing activities for import services rendered, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Collaborate closely with internal departments to support service levels, compliance standards, and operational efficiency.
  • Adhere to all applicable domestic and international import and shipping regulations, as well as internal compliance policies.
  • Participate in required training and demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and process improvement.

What we would like you to bring

  • 2+ years of customs brokerage experience
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Basic knowledge of HTSUS classification and Incoterms
  • Strong customer service, communication, and collaboration skillsAbility to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and work with urgency
  • Detail‑oriented with accurate data entry and strong organizational skills
  • Strong problem‑solving skills, including monitoring and resolving customs rejects and regulatory inquiries

Base wage is part of a competitive total rewards package that includes health and welfare benefits, a 401k retirement savings plan, tuition reimbursement, and incentive compensation for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, skills, job location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
