Job Summary:

The job holder will be primarily responsible for the timely and accurate processing of customer purchase orders. This includes reviewing and entering orders in compliance with trade and financial guidelines, generating and issuing subpurchase orders to factories, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure accurate invoicing and documentation.
This position is based in Pune, India, and reports to the COE- Customer Care Manager.


In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Order Processing & Compliance

  • Review and enter customer purchase orders received from Sales/LBP into the ERP system, generating internal sales orders accurately and on time, with authority to validate details and escalate discrepancies.
  • Ensure adherence to local and international trade compliance, due diligence requirements, and taxation rules; escalate or halt any noncompliant orders.
  • Prepare Letters of Credit and requests for guarantees in coordination with Sales and Finance, verifying documentation accuracy.
  • Process orders in line with finance and technical guidelines, with authority to reject incomplete or noncompliant orders.
  • Submit order acknowledgments to customers or project management, confirming commercial and technical compliance.

Coordination with Factories and Suppliers

  • Obtain offers from factories/suppliers as required and review against customer purchase orders for technical compliance and price alignment.
  • Generate and issue purchase orders to factories, suppliers, and Project Management teams.
  • Receive acknowledgments from factories and verify order booking accuracy in terms of price, delivery, quantity, and technical specifications.
  • Effectively manage customer change orders to support improved financial performance.

Invoicing

  • Generate and submit invoices to Customers or Project Management in coordination with Logistics/OM/PM, ensuring compliance with revenue recognition guidelines and alignment with the customer purchase order.

Environment, Health & Safety (EHS)

  • Demonstrate strong HSE leadership by setting the tone for a positive safety culture and driving continuous improvement.
  • Ensure effective management of HSSE risks and impacts. Report all hazards, incidents, and near misses per the MEA Emerson HSE policy.
  • Participate in investigations of incidents, accidents, and near misses when required.
  • Complete all assigned HSE trainings and ensure 100% utilization of the Emerson Safety App.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelors degree in a businessrelated field or equivalent, with a minimum of three years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in CRM platforms, MS Office applications, and ERP systems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to multitask and manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Knowledge of international logistics, including Incoterms, payment terms, and regional taxation rules (preferred).
  • Working Hours: 10:00 AM 7:00 PM.

  • Bachelors degree in engineering, Science, Business, or any other stream.
