Position Summary:
Crow’s Bench is Schweitzer’s Premier restaurant. Centered around alpine cuisine, where we make our food from scratch. Commis Cook (Line Cook) is responsible for executing specific or multiple line stations & their prep during service hours. You will be responsible for food preparation, presentation and keeping a clean kitchen. If you have a passion for global cuisine and a love for learning, this is the job for you.
Essential Functions and Major Responsibilities:
- Prepare ingredients by chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces.
- Ensures all prep is done according to recipes and portion standards. Work in close liaison with chef/sous chef.
- Cooking and Assembling Dishes - Cooks menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff. Assembles dishes with attention to presentation and quality.
- Maintains a clean and organized workstation.
- Follows sanitation and safety procedures to ensure a hygienic kitchen environment.
- Must be willing to work with both the Back of House and Front of House teams.
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Wash dishes
- Must become knowledgeable of Schweitzer Mountain Resort facilities & services
- Other duties as assigned
Specific Job Skills:
License/Certifications- Idaho Food Safety Certification is preferred

Physical Capabilities- Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours per shift. Will lift up to 25lbs frequently, up to 50lbs occasionally. Exposed to fumes, odors, mechanical and burn hazards.
Additional – Worksite is 100% inside and you will be exposed to fumes, odors, mechanical and burn hazards. All sensory skills needed. There is a possibility of outdoor work during summer & shoulder seasons.
Education/Related Experience:
Minimum education required- English reading and writing
Minimum time in a related position- Line Cook Experience Preferred
