Credit Controller

DHL International Ltd in Malta is looking to recruit a Credit Controller to join their team on a full-time basis.
Job Role:
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the role of Credit Control would ensure that DHL customers are correctly paying and settling their outstanding payments as per credit terms. Some of the tasks are not limited to just these but include:
· Calling customers to chase for payment for outstanding debts
· Handle payment-related queries for DHL account holders
· Co-ordinate with Share Service Center on payment allocation matters
· Undertake account reconciliations/analysis as required
· Follow up payment performance, chase outstanding invoices to keep within set KPIs
· Maintain accurate records of all chasing activity to update accounting systems
· Updating and maintaining customer contact details
· Prepare regular ageing reports and provide updates on debtor balances
· Liaise with lawyer on legal matters regarding debtors
· Support month-end closing procedures related to receivables
· Work closely with the finance and sales teams to manage credit risk and maintain strong client relationships.
Qualifications
Applicants should fulfil the following criteria:
· Excellent communication skills in English and preferably Maltese, both verbal and written
· Excellent telephone manners
· Experience in Microsoft programs especially Microsoft Excel
· High level of accuracy in data entry and finance record keeping
· Able to work in a team & assertive and able to take decisions
· Basic understanding in accounts is required, accounting qualifications will be considered an asset.
