Position Title:
Senior Corrugated Structural Design Engineer
Pay Rate:
$75,800-$101,000
Multiple factors, including Individual experience, skills and abilities will determine where an employee is ultimately placed in the pay range. Variable pay may provide additional opportunities for financial awards. This job is eligible to participate in IP’s annual incentive plan.

The Job You Will Perform:
· Consistent delivery of industry leading solutions that exceed clients' expectations
· Utilize design skills to elevate IP's position within the marketplace through new business transitions
· Takes design responsibility for multiple accounts
· Has a deep understanding of corrugated and paper material properties
· Ability to independently make creative decisions regarding structural design, logistics, print, retail environment, and retail guidelines and specifications
· Conceptual Development: Work with IP internal stakeholders and/or the customer to understand requirements and translate those requirements into practical solutions
· Advanced understanding of manufacturing methods/applications and utilizes knowledge when developing conceptual and production designs
· Ability to make client presentations
· Evaluates and improves processes
· Continually developing cross-functional skills/awareness (individual and team)
· Ability to design around the use or removal of alternative materials including wood, metal and plastic
The Skills You Will Bring:
· BS or BA in Packaging or equivalent field of study preferred
· 3-5 years of experience in corrugated design or other fiber-based packaging is preferred
· Advanced knowledge of retail channel guidelines
· Knowledge of CAD engineering software and hardware
· Ability to conduct structural performance calculations and offer recommendations
