Internship positions may include competitive hourly pay, hands-on industry experience, mentorship from experienced leaders, and exposure to professional projects in agribusiness operations. Students seeking academic credit are welcome. The company is willing to coordinate with the student’s college or university and complete any required paperwork to facilitate academic credit.
The Corporate Office Intern will provide cross-functional support to the Human Resources, Administrative, Safety, and Accounting departments within an agricultural company. This internship offers hands-on exposure to the operational and compliance functions that support a production-based agribusiness.
This position is ideal for a student pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Accounting, Agribusiness, or a related field who is interested in corporate operations within the agriculture industry.
Essential Functions

- Maintain employee files and ensure documentation compliance.
- Support tracking of employee training and certifications.
- Help coordinate internal communications and HR-related updates.
- Help develop HR assistance dashboard and chatbot
- Organize and maintain physical and electronic filing systems.
- Assist in tracking safety training participation and certifications.
- Participate in safety audits or documentation reviews.
- Provide administrative assistance to management and department leaders.
- Assist with special projects related to corporate operations.
Competencies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Basic understanding of HR practices and administrative procedures.
- Familiarity with basic accounting principles preferred.
- Ability to learn internal HRIS or accounting software systems.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Accurate data entry and record management skills.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position requires no supervisory responsibility.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office and, in some cases, from a remote offsite location. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands

The position is primarily sedentary and requires the use of hands and fingers to handle or feel; and reach with arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus. This position requires good manual dexterity and coordination with the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies weighing up to 30 pounds.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is an internship position designed for the summer semester, 10-12 weeks is the expected duration. Days and hours can change at the discretion of the Accounting Manager; though typical hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Expected Education and Experience
- Customer Service experience
- Ability to read and interpret general business periodicals and professional journals
- Ability to solve practical industry related problems.
- Professional or educational experience in business, accounting/finance or HR.
- Pre-employment background check and drug screening required.
