Verisure is seeking a high-performing and collaborative professional to join the CFO Office as a Corporate Development Analyst / Associate. The role will report to the Corporate Development Manager, who reports to the Group Treasurer and Director of Corporate Finance. Job title and scope of responsibilities can be adjusted to reflect the candidate’s experience and background. This position will be based in Madrid.

This is a fast paced, challenging, highly quantitative and high visibility role. The role will have direct interaction and extensive collaboration with a broad range of leaders across the Group, in addition to external stakeholders such as financial advisors, rating agencies and investors.

You will play a key role in developing a best-in-class group finance function and will participate in a variety of strategic finance projects, ranging from equity and debt capital market transactions, special projects involving financial modelling or internal strategic initiatives.  

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Support the CFO office with corporate transactions and debt refinancing processes (>€5.0Bn of outstanding debt), leveraging the team’s track record of leading multiple refinancing transactions and the recent successful execution of the Company’s IPO.
  • Complete complex analytical exercises including advanced financial and valuation modelling.
  • Support the CFO office in building and maintaining financial models to support strategic planning, budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Support investor relations efforts, including preparation of investor materials, investor-facing data for publication and ad-hoc investor requests.
  • Support the CFO office with rating agency engagement and initiatives to optimize the company’s credit profile.
  • Support the CFO office with derivative strategy and execution. 
  • Collect, track and analyze key market and economic data, including interest and exchange rates, inflation trends and other relevant metrics.
  • Support the preparation of management presentations, board materials, memorandums and other presentation materials.
  • Work collaboratively in a highly entrepreneurial environment, focusing on execution and ensuring strategic plans come to fruition.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree with high academic achievements.
  • At least 3 years of experience in investment banking, M&A, corporate development, VC or PE.
  • High EQ with high level of judgement and professional maturity.
  • Excellent financial modeling, problem solving, analytical and numerical skills.
  • Ability to handle well time pressure and multi-tasking in fast-paced situations.
  • High level of attention to detail, proactivity and time management.
  • Self-starter capable of working independently and collaboratively across geographies.
  • Exceptional written, communication and people skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Fluent in English.
  • A high level of motivation, positive attitude and a team player with a strong desire to learn.
