COOK - PRN
Meridell Achievement Center is a 134-bed, seclusion free, psychiatric residential treatment facility located northwest of Austin. Our 60-acre campus is complete with mature oaks, rolling hills, and plenty of walking paths and outdoor spaces. We have 7 unique living units separated by gender, age, and development needs with a swimming pool, gymnasium, sports court and playing fields. We provide 24-hour psychiatric care to girls and boys ages 10 to 17 years old with customized therapeutic approaches and intensive behavioral programs to teach young patients to moderate their behavior, manage emotions and improve social functioning.
We are looking for a Cook to work with our experienced dietary team to provide daily meals for our patients. Must be service excellence oriented and ready to become part of a great team. PRN, weekday and weekend availability required.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Training:
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Experience may be substituted for education requirement.
Experience:
- Previous experience working in a dietary department.
Licensure/Certification:
Current driver license.
- Health Card required, Meridell is willing to pay for certification.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Ability to read, write, follow and give oral instructions.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient and employee information.
Essential Physical Requirements: Physical demand requires frequent lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 30 lbs, considerable walking, standing, pushing and pulling of equipment. Stooping, kneeling and reaching is required.
