The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced HVAC DDC BAS Controls Project Manager will work as part of a team which will be responsible for the installation, programming, start-up, troubleshooting, commissioning and servicing of DDC building automation systems. This position requires the ability to communicate clearly with customers, mechanical contractors, mechanical engineers and fellow employees.
Responsibilities
- Manage installation subcontractor during construction phase of project to keep them on track and on schedule.
- Manage the checkout, start-up and commissioning on BAS projects.
- Schedule Programmer and Technicians after install is finished to program and commission project.
- Must have excellent computer skills and be proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project and IP networks.
- Review and correct submittal documents for BAS projects.
- Create monthly AIA forms for progressive billings.
- Work with customers to establish successful project schedule.
- Attend jobsite meetings to discuss BAS progress and any issues holding up our progress.
- Document all construction issues that handle project completion.
- Analyze problems and resolve issues to ensure the complete system functions properly.
- Review and correction of submittal documentation for new BAS projects.
- Must be familiar with various hand and power tools.
- Coordinate customer-training and complete closeout documents
- Provide technical support and direction to end-users and employees when applicable.
The Required Profile
- 5 years of experience as a Project Manager on HVAC Building Automation Systems, LON, BACnet, and Niagara Tridium.
- Some flexibility to work overtime/weekends.
- Proficient in reading plans, submittal drawings and wiring diagrams.
- Both written and verbal communication skills a must.
- General understanding of IP networks.
- Occasional travel may be required.
- 5 Years of Project Management with Tridium, Lonworks and BACnet Control Systems
- High School Diploma, Military Service, and/or Trade School
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving history.
- Niagara Tridium AX and N4, familiar with Siemens Talon, and/or Distech Controls.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Mental stamina for problem solving and prioritizing multiple tasks.
Environmental Requirements
Will be required to work in a field environment, multiple customer sites on a daily basis.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to operate computer keyboard reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee is continually required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
