Position Summary
The Controllership Manager will oversee financial operations for EMEA REMS entities. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and efficient operational processes across all managed entities.
Key Responsibilities
Manage relationships with external accounting service providers, ensuring service delivery meets quality, timeliness, and compliance standards
Oversee the controller team responsible for day-to-day financial operations and coordinate resolution of operational issues
Ensure alignment and compliance between multiple accounting systems, implementing controls to maintain data integrity
Lead and coordinate the month-end close process for the entities in scope to ensure timely and accurate financial results
Oversee balance sheet reconciliation process, ensuring all accounts are reconciled timely and accurately
Ensure timely preparation of statutory financial statements and audit documentation for assigned entities
Support internal and external audit activities, managing information requests and facilitating timely resolution of audit findings
Manage all aspects of tax compliance and planning, including filings, risk management, and collaboration with tax advisors
Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements and statutory obligations for all assigned entities
Oversee cash management activities including cash positioning
Manage payroll payment processing coordination and accounts payable payment cycles, ensuring accuracy and timely execution
Support month-end close activities for assigned entities, ensuring deliverables meet established timelines and quality standards
Identify opportunities to streamline operations, standardize processes, and enhance efficiency across entity management
Implement best practices in financial controls, reporting, and vendor management
Overseeing other activities related to entities in scope
Required Qualifications
Education
Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
Experience
Minimum 5-7 years of progressive experience in audit or controllership required
Audit experience required, preferably with Big 4 accounting firm
Prior experience in real estate, corporate services, or multi-entity environments preferred
Technical Skills
Strong understanding of IFRS, local GAAP, and US GAAP accounting standards
Proficiency in accounting systems and ERP platforms
Advanced Excel skills and financial systems reconciliation experience
