Since September 2009, Whitecap has experienced remarkable growth, increasing production from 850 boe/d to over 365,000 boe/d. We have unconventional and conventional assets exclusively focused in Western Canada and the asset base includes the Weyburn EOR Project. As a majority owner and operator of the Weyburn EOR Project, annually we safely sequester approximately 1.5 million tonnes of CO2 making it a unique project within our portfolio. We currently employ 1,200 people, including our valued contract staff.

Position Overview:
Reporting to the Area Superintendent, this position will be located in our Valhalla operating area 45 minutes north west of Grande Prairie.
Key Job Accountabilities:
Inspect the wells / pipelines / facilities daily
Test wells as required and report test results in daily reports
Notify Foreman of any major maintenance or repairs necessary for continuous production in accordance with good operating practice and procedures
Maintain and positively impact the overall safety program and ensure adherence to all applicable regulations
Running gas newly constructed gas plant with amine treating facility
Primary Qualifications and Skills:
Must hold a 4th class steam ticket and / or fired process heater operator
All required safety tickets
Applicants will be required to carry commercial insurance and WBC account in good standings • Minimum 2 years of industry experience
Drivers License would be required
