PURPOSE

  • To participate and help drive the execution of activities required to deliver governanceled change and incident management improvement initiatives for the organisation. This involves the professional application of organisational change management disciplines, governance frameworks, and agreed methodologies to uplift change quality, incident outcomes, and operational consistency across the organisation. 

  • May work directly with a Project Manager, Service Owner, Incident Manager, or delivery leads on small to mediumsized initiatives, or under the direction and guidance of a more senior change management professional on larger programs. Consequently, when acting as the most senior Change Management governance resource on a daytoday basis, the role is expected (with guidance) to drive the completion of change and incident governance activities, including stakeholder engagement, impact assessment, readiness planning, and adoption support. 

  • May be dedicated fulltime to a single program or work across multiple smaller initiatives simultaneously. While unlikely to have formal people leadership responsibilities, the role may be expected to provide direction, coaching, and support to Change Analysts or project team members to ensure governance standards are applied consistently and change and incident management practices are effectively adopted. 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

As part of their support role, they are responsible for supporting and contributing where appropriate to the completion of change management lifecycle activities and new initiatives such as: 

  • Design, build, and maintain automation solutions that improve Change Management quality, consistency, and efficiency. 

  • Develop scripts and tooling using Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript to automate change controls, quality checks, and reporting. 

  • Configure, enhance, and support ServiceNow Change Management capabilities, including workflows, reports, dashboards, and data integrations. 

  • Build and maintain monitoring and control dashboards that provide visibility of change quality, risk, and compliance. 

  • Identify and implement opportunities to use AI and GenAI to improve change risk assessment, decision support, guidance, and quality assurance. 

  • Collaborate with Service Owners, Change Champions, and relevant stakeholders to support uplift of Change Management practices across Domains. 

YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

SKILLS 

  • Resilience and versatility in dealing with varying levels of organisational maturity 

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills 

  • Teamwork, Collaboration & Communication 

  • Awareness of the broad methodologies and frameworks to support high quality delivery in a large organisation 

  • Scripting or programming experience (Python, JavaScript, TypeScript). 

  • Strong understanding of ServiceNow or similar enterprise platforms. 

  • Conceptual understanding of software development and system integration. 

 

EXPERIENCE 

  • Experience working in a technical, automation, engineering, or platformfocused role within a medium to large organisation. 

  • Handson experience with scripting or programming (Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, or similar). 

  • Experience working with ServiceNow, particularly in Change Management, reporting, workflows, or integrations. 

  • Experience applying technology to support change, risk, governance, or operational improvement processes. 

  • Experience designing or implementing automation and workflow solutions. 

  • Experience with reporting, dashboards, and data analysis. 

  • Experience or exposure to RetrievalAugmented Generation (RAG) approaches. 

  • Experience setting up, building, or interacting with Model Context Protocol (MCP) or similar AI tool integration frameworks. 

  • Agile tools methods and delivery 

  • Information Technology, Engineering, Data, or a related field 

  • ITIL(is a plus)
