Job Summary: The primary responsibility of this position is to work as a team member in the daily production of baked goods for all customers, guests, and clients of Dining Services. Follows standardized recipes and assists with developing and testing new recipes. Ensures the best quality and highest level of customer service. Cleans and maintains work areas and equipment and keeps accurate production records. Job Duties/What You'll Do Support the mission and vision of Concordia College and demonstrate the competencies as defined for this position. Bakery production --- Prepare cookies, bars, cakes, pies, puddings, desserts, and other products according to standardized recipes. Maintain quality standards in food handling and preparation. Maintain standards of sanitation and safety as established by local, state, and federal health officials. Maintain cost awareness with an emphasis on minimizing waste. Cleaning and maintenance --- Maintain equipment and work areas in neat, clean, and orderly conditions. Perform basic routine preventive maintenance on designated equipment. Report equipment repairs needed. Record keeping --- Assist with testing and standardizing new recipes and submit recipe adjustments as needed. Other --- Work with student employees, coworkers, and management in service to our customers and assist with student employee recruitment and retention. Other duties as assigned.
