Compliance Analyst
Hirewell has been exclusively retained to lead the search for a Compliance Analyst by a growing commercial real estate company in upstate New York.
This individual will support the Compliance Program across a growing portfolio of real estate assets. This role plays a key part in ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and governance standards.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide day-to-day compliance support to internal stakeholders, including property and asset management teams.
- Review, assess, and assist in resolving compliance issues escalated across the organization, including remediation efforts.
- Analyze compliance data and testing results to identify trends and areas of risk.
- Draft, update, and distribute compliance policies, procedures, and related communications.
- Develop and deliver training on company policies, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
- Evaluate compliance processes and internal controls to identify gaps or inefficiencies and support process improvements.
- Respond to regulatory, legal, and consumer inquiries, coordinating with internal teams and external counsel as needed.
- Assist in the execution of the compliance monitoring and testing program, including control testing across internal policies, and applicable regulations.
- Support vendor due diligence and third-party risk management processes, including risk assessments and control evaluations.
- Support the ongoing development and strengthening of the Compliance Program.
Qualifications include:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in compliance, risk management, internal audit, real estate operations, or a related field.
- Experience in real estate property management, financial services, or other regulated environments preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with legal research tools (e.g., LexisNexis) preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across teams.
