Job Summary

The Compensation Consultant 2 provides strategic compensation consulting and project management for competitive pay programs and pay-for-performance philosophies.

Essential Functions of the Role

  • Works strategically across functional areas to identify, plan, develop and deliver compensation services and tools with high quality outcomes.
  • Manages compensation projects and initiatives. This may include the Compensation Committee, annual merit planning, incentive programs, and job architecture.
  • Helps with projects, maintains project timelines, creates presentations, communication materials, policies, etc.
  • Partners with Compensation management and HR Business Services to develop compensation strategies and practices.
  • Socializes new or changed pay programs with HR Business Services and business managers to include presentations for areas helped.
  • Responds to internal requests for job reviews, pricing new positions, and equity adjustments. Ensure internal and external equity.
  • Conducts complex internal and external third-party market testing and reviews.
  • Researches compensation trends and best practices in the external market. Partners with HR and business leadership to improve pay programs and market position.
  • Conducts periodic audits to ensure accuracy of data.
  • Responds to data requests.
  • Mentors compensation staff and provides performance and development feedback.

Key Success Factors

  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of compensation policies, practices and procedures.
  • Knowledge of health care industry is preferred.
  • Relationship management and conflict resolution skills.
  • Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent ability to work with and influence all levels of management.
  • Excellent data skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and regularly reprioritize tasks.

  • EDUCATION - Bachelor's or 4 years of work experience above the minimum qualification
  • EXPERIENCE - 5 years of experience
