Commercial Project Manager
Role Overview
We are looking for a Commercial Project manager to initiate and drive complex commercial projects and to help define go-to-market pathways for our quantum computing technologies at C12.
This role sits at the intersection of science, product, and market—requiring technical curiosity, project management skills and strong commercial instincts. You will work closely with research teams, customers and external partners to translate breakthrough technology into real-world applications.
You will report directly to the Head of Sales and collaborate with Innovation and Partnerships, Product management, as well as the Theory & Applications and Software teams.

Key Responsibilities
Project management
Leading multiple projects with highly scientific content, utilizing tools for planning, tracking, and managing tasks, activities, and milestones.
Managing the execution of the respective statements of work; improving processes and methodologies for client project deliveries across the organisation.
Leading project meetings and workshops with clear, concise agendas, ensuring actions are recorded and followed up
Writing commercial proposals and grant applications that include project scope, resource requirements, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with clients and relevant experts.
Cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with customers throughout the partnership lifecycle.
Strategic Partnerships
Identify, develop, and manage partnerships with our business partners (e.g., algorithm builders, software providers,...)
Build and maintain a high-quality partners’ pipeline of strategic opportunities
Business development activities
Work closely with our quantum scientists and engineers to understand capabilities and roadmap
Partner with product and marketing teams to refine positioning and messaging.
Participating in relevant conferences to meet target customers and partners.
Supporting the marketing team in optimizing targeting strategies within the European market.
Requirements
About you
You have 4+ years of experience in project management or strategy consulting in the private sector. Experience in R&D or technical project management is a strong advantage.
You have experience working in deeptech, advanced hardware, or complex technical product companies (e.g., semiconductors, AI, HPC, photonics, etc.)
You are fluent in spoken and written English and French.
You are self-motivated and capable of working independently.
You are curious and passionate about cutting-edge technology, particularly quantum computing but also the diverse technologies of potential clients.
You thrive in a start-up environment, characterized by growth and creativity.
Education
Master’s degree in engineering, computer science, physics, or related field.
Advanced degree (PhD/MBA) is a plus.
Skills and experience
You have experience writing technical proposals, project plans, briefings and presentations.
You are familiar using project management tools like Linear.
You have experience and you like interacting with external customers.
You can collaborate across diverse teams of engineers.
You can creatively explain and present complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Comfortable operating in an early-stage, fast-evolving environment
