Commercial Fleet & Truck Sales Manager (B2B / Outside Sales)
Quirk Auto Group is one of New England’s leaders in Commercial Vehicle sales. We are seeking a self-starting B2B "Hunter" to aggressively expand our footprint with business owners, contractors, and municipalities across Maine.
This is not a retail floor position. This is a territory management role for a disciplined professional capable of managing their own schedule, bypassing gatekeepers, and setting appointments with decision-makers to sell our massive inventory of Heavy-Duty Trucks, Vans, and Specialty Upfits.
The Quirk Advantage:
- Unmatched Company Benefits: We take care of our own with a premier benefits package that leads the industry.
- Extensive Inventory: You will have access to the largest selection of commercial inventory in the Northeast to back up your sales pitch.
- Statewide Territory: No limits. Leverage our extensive footprint to serve clients from every corner of the state.
- Support: We provide the tools, the backing, and the reputation of a family-owned legacy to help you close deals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Prospecting (New Business): execute a disciplined cold-calling and networking strategy to set appointments with C-level decision makers, Fleet Managers, Municipal Directors and small business owners.
- Consultative Truck Sales: Act as a technical expert on commercial specs (Payload, Towing, Upfits, Chassis Cabs) to build custom solutions for logistics firms, construction companies, and government entities.
- Territory & Time Management: Operate as a self-starter. Effectively plan your daily "Road Warrior" route to maximize face-to-face client visits and minimize downtime.
- Municipal & Fleet Bids: Navigate the government bid process and manage complex fleet acquisition deals.
- Pipeline Management: Utilize our CRM to track leads, forecast monthly growth, and ensure no opportunity slips through the cracks.
What You Bring to the Table:
- B2B Sales Experience: Proven track record in Outside Sales, Industrial Sales, or Territory Management. (Experience in Commercial Trucking, Heavy Equipment, or Construction industries is highly preferred).
- The "Hunter" Mentality: You are comfortable hearing "no," getting past gatekeepers, and creating your own opportunities rather than waiting for leads.
- Self-Discipline: Ability to work autonomously, manage your own calendar, and prioritize high-value activities without constant supervision.
- Technical Aptitude: Ability to learn and explain complex vehicle specifications (Gross Vehicle Weight, Hydraulic Systems, Diesel Engines).
- Professionalism: Excellent presentation skills for boardroom and job-site environments.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Earnings: Competitive base salary plus an aggressive commission structure with high earning potential.
- Tools for Success: Company vehicle or vehicle allowance provided.
- Benefits: Comprehensive health insurance, 401(k) retirement plans, paid vacation, and more.
