COLLECTIONS SPECIALIST
The Collection Professional is responsible for communicating with accounts assigned to them via telephone and other means on behalf of our clients with delinquent accounts. This is a production-based role where the goal is to reach consumers and professionally communicate to secure a method of payment to resolve the debt. Key aspects include handling rejection promptly, learning from each interaction, maintaining a positive attitude, and working collaboratively with team members while representing both the clients and the company professionally. Confidence and skill in telephone communication, negotiation, and interpersonal relations are essential. A strong work ethic is required in this environment.
Responsibilities:
• Navigate and maintain your route using our Lariat Software.
• Make a minimum of 150 to 200 calls per day.
• Work diligently to convert each contact into a payment.
• Update client information in Lariat.
• Respect company property and coworkers.
• Exhibit productive job behavior: arrive on time and follow company rules, even when unsupervised.
• Participate in projects, duties, and other collection tasks as assigned.
• Uphold company policies and client requirements.
• Generate, analyze, maintain, and/or track files, reports, contracts, and documents to ensure compliance, forwarding results as required.
• Comply with all applicable Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations related to the role.
• Follow Chapter 7, Chapter 11, and Chapter 13 Bankruptcy Procedures.
