Job Description Summary:
This role serves as a strategic leader within the Global Marketing organization, driving the next generation of analytical capabilities that empower teams to make smarter, faster, and more precise decisions. The role builds an enterprise-level approach to advanced analytics—spanning forecasting, econometric modeling, machine learning, marketing effectiveness, commercial scenario planning, and predictive demand insights.
Working closely with cross-functional partners across Customer & Commercial, Revenue Growth, Digital, Insights, and regional Operating Units, the role shapes the methodologies, tools, and frameworks that guide global marketing investment and strategic choices.
The role requires a forward-thinking leader with deep expertise in advanced analytics, strong storytelling abilities, and the ability to translate complex models into clear actions—shaping new capabilities and driving measurable business impact across markets and the commercial ecosystem.
SCOPE & IMPACT
Enterprise scope: Defines the global vision, strategy, and roadmap for advanced analytics and predictive modeling across the Marketing function, ensuring alignment with enterprise priorities and system needs. Leads standardized analytics frameworks, tools, and methodologies that enable consistent, data-driven decision-making across markets.
Stakeholder scope: Partners with Categories, Customer & Commercial, Insights, Digital, and Data teams to embed analytics into end-to-end decisions, shaping how forecasting, ROI measurement, optimization, and scenario planning inform global and local choices.
People scope: Coaches and mentors analytics talent while orchestrating a broader matrixed ecosystem of internal teams and external analytics and research partners.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITY
Leads the global strategy, vision, and roadmap for advanced analytics and predictive modeling across the Marketing function.
Builds and scales predictive models that enhance demand forecasting, marketing ROI measurement, campaign optimization, and category or portfolio decision-making.
Partners with Categories, Customer & Commercial, and Insights teams to embed analytics into full end-to-end decisions.
Develops standardized analytics frameworks, tools, and methodologies that enhance consistency and enable data-driven choices across markets.
Guides the development of machine learning, econometric, and statistical models that drive insights into consumer behavior, media effectiveness, brand equity, and purchasing dynamics.
Supports the GI&PM pillars (consumer science, shopper science, portfolio management, and marketing performance) by leveraging experimentation, MPV, test-and-learn designs, and applied analytics to validate hypotheses, quantify impact, and scale successful approaches globally.
Generates best approaches to solve business questions by defining transferable learnings and frameworks that can be applied across geographies without replicating identical exercises in every market.
Translates complex analytical outputs into simple, compelling, and actionable recommendations for senior leadership, brand teams, and customer partners.
Builds strong partnerships with Digital and Data teams to ensure access to high-quality data, modern tooling, and AI-enabled platforms.
Establishes governance routines, capability-building programs, and communities of practice to strengthen analytical fluency across the system.
Leads external benchmarking and stays ahead of emerging trends in artificial intelligence, predictive analytics, generative modeling, and marketing science.
Implements responsible data practices and upholds ethical standards in model design, testing, and deployment.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
A strategic, enterprise-minded analytics leader with the ability to set the agenda, integrate across a matrixed global network, and translate advanced analytical outputs into commercial and marketing decisions. Comfortable operating with ambiguity, influencing senior stakeholders, and leading with clarity while developing both direct and networked teams.
FUNCTIONAL SKILLS
Advanced analytics, predictive modeling, and data science applied to marketing and commercial decision-making.
Expertise in econometric, machine learning, statistical, forecasting, simulation, and optimization models.
Strong proficiency in modern analytics tools, programming languages, and modeling environments (e.g., Python, R, SQL, AI-enabled platforms, cloud-based architectures).
Marketing science and consumer behavior analytics, with the ability to connect models to real-world brand and customer decisions.
Design and leadership of test-and-learn experiments, simulations, and experimentation frameworks.
Strategic storytelling and structured recommendation building for senior leadership impact.
Systems thinking that connects insights across functions, markets, and commercial contexts.

EXPERIENCE & BACKGROUND
Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Marketing Science, Economics, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or related discipline; Master’s degree or Ph.D. preferred.
12+ years of experience in advanced analytics, predictive modeling, data science, or marketing analytics, including significant leadership experience in global or large-scale, matrixed environments.
Proven experience building and deploying predictive, econometric, and machine learning models that drive business decisions.
Demonstrated success influencing senior leaders through clear storytelling and business-oriented communication.
Experience designing, leading, and executing an ecosystem of marketing and commercial analytics research agencies.
High level of digital and data fluency with hands-on experience in AI-enabled environments.
