Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Cloud Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the architecture, deployment, security, and maintece of Oracle E-Business Suite (R12.1/R12.2) environments hosted on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). This role requires deep expertise in OCI networking, hybrid-cloud connectivity (AWS/Azure), and rigorous security best practices to protect critical enterprise data.
Key Responsibilities
- Migration Strategy: Define and execute migration strategies from legacy EBS systems to OCI. Knowledge of tools like Data Pump, RMAN, and OIC (Oracle Integration Cloud) integrations.
- Cloud Integration & Customization: Build and review extensions and customizations in the cloud environment using PaaS services such as OIC, VBCS (Visual Builder Cloud Service), and Groovy scripts, integrating EBS with other internal and external systems via REST/SOAP APIs. Knowledge of API Gateway.
- Performance Tuning & Security: Optimize OCI deployments for cost-efficiency and performance, manage OCI security best practices, and troubleshoot complex technical issues across the hybrid environment.
- Documentation & Goverce: Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational guidelines, ensuring compliance with organizational and industry regulations.
- Multicloud & Hybrid Connectivity: Architect secure connectivity between OCI and on-premise data centers or other cloud providers (AWS/Azure) using FastConnect, VPN, and Service Gateways.
- Collaboration & Leadership: Work closely with functional consultants, DBAs, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical designs. Mentor junior team members and enforce development standards.
- OCI Infrastructure: Design and manage OCI core services: Virtual Cloud Network (VCN), Compartments, Compute, Block/Object Storage, Load Balancers, and Database Systems (DB Systems, Exadata).
- Security & Compliance: Implement "security by design" using OCI Identity and Access Management (IAM), policies, Security Lists, Network Security Groups (NSGs), and OCI Vault/KMS for encryption.
- Security Monitoring: Configure and manage OCI Cloud Guard, WAF (Web Application Firewall), and SIEM integration to monitor for threats.
- Automation: Develop Terraform scripts and Ansible playbooks to automate infrastructure provisioning and patching.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in computer science or related field.
- 10+ years of total experience in Oracle EBS Cloud Engineer.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience managing Oracle EBS on OCI.
- Proven experience in Multicloud networking and hybrid setups (OCI-Azure or OCI-AWS).
- Strong knowledge of OCI security services (IAM, Vault, WAF, NSGs).
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and scripting (Bash/Python).
- Solid understanding of Linux/Unix Administration.
Preferred Skills & Certifications
- Technical Expertise: Strong technical expertise in Oracle EBS (R12), including proficiency in SQL/PLSQL, Oracle Forms & Reports, Workflow, OAF, and BI/XML Publisher. In-depth knowledge of OCI services (Compute, Storage, Networking, Database, Load Balancer, etc.)
- Cloud Skills: Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and proficiency in scripting (Shell, Python) for automation.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills to debug and resolve issues efficiently in both EBS and OCI environments.
- Certifications: Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Architect Professional Certification is a plus.
- Education: A bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
