Are you ready to lead the operations of a cutting-edge analytics solution at a global scale?

We are looking for a Cloud Data Engineer to operate and continuously improve a scalable data analytics solution designed for Bosch’s global production data. This platform powers critical insights across our worldwide manufacturing landscape.

In this key role, you will ensure the smooth operation of end-to-end data pipelines and AI applications, helping Bosch drive efficiency and innovation in smart manufacturing. You will work closely with users to enhance Spark query performance, fine-tune resource allocation, and implement best practices in Databricks.

Key responsibilities:

  • Ensure the stability, scalability, and performance of the data analytics solution for production data.
  • Monitor and maintain batch and streaming data pipelines in a cloud-based environment.
  • Improve operational processes including incident handling, performance monitoring, and issue resolution.
  • Optimize Databricks workloads to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Analyze and fine-tune Spark queries for optimal performance.

Education:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.

Professional Experience:

  • Experience in operating and maintaining large-scale cloud data solutions in production environments.
  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer, with a strong focus on Databricks optimization.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial data environment is a plus.

Technical Skills:

  • Solid understanding of common issues in cloud-based data pipelines and analytics solutions
  • Working knowledge of Databricks and Lakehouse architecture in a cloud environment.
  • Strong experience with SQL for data querying and analysis.
  • Proficiency with Git for version control and team collaboration.
  • Experience with command-line scripting (e.g., PowerShell).
  • Familiarity with KubeCTL and Kubernetes-based systems.
  • Experience with data pipeline orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Azure Data Factory) is a plus
  • Understanding of monitoring and logging tools is a plus.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with a proactive approach to incident management and root cause analysis.
  • Strong communication and coordination abilities, capable of working effectively across cross-functional and international teams.
  • High level of ownership, with a strong drive for operational excellence, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Languages:

  • Fluent in Portuguese and English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus.
