Description:


This position supports clinical staff in an area of specialization for the advancement of clinical practice and professional development, utilizes innovative education planning and programming, demonstrates expertise in clinical practice, collaborates and consults with clinical administrative disciplines for new programs and service improvement, demonstrates leadership through role modeling, mentoring and utilizing research principles to facilitate and promote evidence based practice. The clinical RN Educator is recognized for clinical and educational expertise. 

  • The Clinical Nurse Educator ensures that all personnel within Surgical Services receive annual competency validation, ongoing clinical education, certification preparation, orientation and preceptorship support, evidence-based practice updates, support for regulatory compliance, and alignment with national standards such as AORN, ASPAN, SGNA, MHAUS, and ANSI/AAMI while maintaining compliance with DNV, CMS, OSHA, and hospital policies.

 

  • The Clinical Nurse Educator provides education and competency oversight for Registered Nurses in Preoperative Care, PACU, Endoscopy, Operating Room, PAT, Patient Care Supervisors, and technical/support staff including Surgical Technologists, Endoscopy Technicians, OR Tech Assistants/Transporters, Scheduling staff, Surgical House Physicians, System Business Analyst, Clinical IS Coordinator, and Surgical Auditor.

 

Estimated salary range for this position is $80516.80 - $107087.34 / year depending on experience.

Qualifications:


Degrees:

  • Bachelors.

Licenses & Certifications:

  • Basic Life Support.
  • Registered Nurse.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Nursing, BSN.
  • 2 years of clinical or teaching experience.
  • ACLS, PALS or NRP certification required based on area of specialty.
  • Certification in area of specialty or obtained within 2 years of hire.

Minimum Required Experience: 1 Year working as a Surgery Nurse in the OR
