CLAIMS EXAMINER (DEPENDENTS & ESTATES)
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilizing an automated travel system to process Next of Kin (NOK) travel requests and liquidate subsequent claims; 2) Confirming payment of death benefits using various online tracking databases; 3) Inputting and maintaining accurate case information in an automated processing system (i.e. Defense Casualty Information Processing System (DCIPS) or similar system); and 4) Assisting in preparing correspondence and communicating benefit entitlements and case status to stakeholders.
