Civil Engineer III/IV

The Civil Engineer III/IV plays a key role in the planning, design, and delivery of roadway infrastructure projects, with a focus on Phase I and Phase II design and plan preparation for IDOT, Illinois Tollway, Cook County, CDOT, and other local agencies. This individual will apply strong technical expertise and engineering judgment to develop high-quality roadway plans and specifications while ensuring compliance with agency standards and requirements. In this role, the Civil Engineer III/IV will work collaboratively across multiple disciplines within Milhouse, coordinating with structural, environmental, and traffic engineering teams, as well as external sub-consultants, to deliver integrated and innovative design solutions. They will actively support project managers in meeting deadlines, maintaining budgets, and ensuring the successful execution of projects of varying scale and complexity. The Civil Engineer III/IV will also contribute to client relationship management by assisting with technical communication, responding to inquiries, and providing updates throughout project lifecycles.
