Circuit Protection Design Engineer

This individual will be responsible for design, develop, testing, and validating electronics and electrical fuses and circuit protection components meeting customer's performance, safety, and environmental requirements Design, develop, test, and validate electronics and electrical fuse products, including over voltage and over current protection fuse and fuse assembly Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product requirements and specifications Interface with suppliers and manufacturing teams to ensure design for manufacturability and cost effectiveness Develop and execuet execute compliance and certification meeting customer requirements Engineering change management and product life cycle management in accordance with company procedures B.S, or M.S. in Electrical Engineering or rated field. Minimum 7+ years of experience in electronics / electrical fuse and circuit protection design. Strong understanding of electrical protection principles, including overcurrent, over voltage, and thermal behavior Experience with CAD tools (e.g.Solidworks or Autocad) and lab instrumentation. Analyze and interpret component datasheets and technical specifications to select appropriate materials and components, interfacing with vendors. Experience with compliance and standards such as AEC-Q200, UL248, IATF 16949, and IEC 60127 to ensure all designs comply with relevant standards and safety regulations. Knowledge and hands-on experience of prototyping and testing and knowledge of fuse testing protocols, including ratings, time-current characteristics, and environmental stress testing. Prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation, including schematic, design specifications, test procedures, bill of materials, and reports, and manage project timelines and deliverables. Ability to work independently, collaborating asynchronously with global cross-functional teams, across multiple time zones. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
