The Role

As Chief Technology & Product Officer (CTPO), you will play a pivotal executive role in defining and executing the organisation’s overall technology and product vision, strategy, and roadmap. Reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with the broader executive team, you will take full ownership of both the Technology and Product divisions, ensuring seamless alignment between business objectives, user experience, and technical execution.

You will lead architecture, engineering, infrastructure, cybersecurity, product management, UX/UI, and innovation functions, unifying them under a single strategic direction. Your mandate is to ensure that product strategy and technology capabilities evolve together to deliver secure, scalable, compliant, and market-leading iGaming solutions.

You will champion a leadership culture that emphasises ownership, accountability, innovation, and continuous development. Your ability to attract top talent, nurture leadership pipelines, implement scalable structures, and foster a high-performance product and engineering culture will be critical to achieving the company’s strategic ambitions.

Key Responsibilities

Product & Technology Vision

• Define and drive the long-term product and technology strategy in alignment with business goals and market opportunities.
• Own the end-to-end product lifecycle, from discovery and roadmap planning to delivery, optimisation, and iteration.
• Ensure tight alignment between product innovation, user needs, regulatory requirements, and technical feasibility.
• Represent both Product and Technology at executive and board level, influencing corporate strategy and decision-making.
• Identify and evaluate emerging technologies, product trends, and competitive opportunities for strategic advantage.

Leadership & Department Oversight

• Directly manage, mentor, and empower Heads of Engineering, Infrastructure/IT, Security, QA, Product Management, and UX/UI.
• Provide regular 1:1 coaching and strategic guidance to ensure leaders evolve from operational managers into strategic domain owners.
• Build scalable organisational structures across Product and Technology to support growth and innovation.
• Identify skill gaps and lead hiring, succession planning, and leadership development initiatives.
• Cultivate a strong culture of accountability, ownership, and cross-functional collaboration between product and engineering teams.

Product Strategy & Innovation

• Lead product discovery, roadmap prioritisation, and value-driven execution frameworks.
• Ensure products are customer-centric, data-informed, and commercially viable.
• Drive innovation across gamification, CMS platforms, middleware, mobile applications, and backend systems.
• Leverage analytics, experimentation (A/B testing), and user feedback loops to optimise performance and engagement.
• Partner with external stakeholders, startups, and research institutions to remain at the forefront of digital product innovation.

Technology Strategy & Delivery

• Own the end-to-end execution of all major technology and product transformation initiatives.
• Champion Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, and product-led delivery methodologies.
• Ensure scalable, secure, and high-availability architectures across web and mobile ecosystems.
• Establish best practices for software engineering excellence, quality assurance, and platform reliability.
• Ensure delivery timelines, budget alignment, and measurable performance outcomes.
  

Infrastructure, Security & Compliance

• Oversee IT infrastructure, cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP), and enterprise architecture.
• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity, data privacy, and iGaming regulatory frameworks.
• Implement robust risk management, business continuity, and security strategies.
• Embed security and compliance into both product design and technical implementation processes.

Stakeholder & Executive Management

• Act as the primary executive leader for all product and technology matters internally and externally.
• Communicate product vision, technical strategy, and innovation initiatives clearly to board members, investors, and partners.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, regulators, clients, and strategic partners.
  

Translate complex technical and product strategies into clear business value narratives.

Financial & Performance Management

• Develop and manage budgets across Product and Technology functions, ensuring ROI and cost-efficiency.
• Establish KPIs and OKRs to measure product success, technical performance, and team effectiveness.
• Drive revenue growth through product innovation, platform optimisation, and scalable technical infrastructure.
• Report regularly on product metrics, technology health, risks, and strategic progress to the executive team.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a senior leadership role such as CTPO, CTO, or VP of Engineering/Product.
• Strong background in the iGaming digital product environments.
• 10+ years of experience leading cross-functional product and engineering teams.
• Demonstrated experience owning both product roadmap and technical architecture strategy.
• Hands-on expertise in scalable frontend, middleware, and backend systems.
• Deep knowledge of mobile (native and hybrid) and web application development.
• Strong understanding of CMS platforms, gamification engines, analytics, and regulatory compliance technologies.
• Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cybersecurity frameworks.
• Proven ability to align product innovation and technical strategy with commercial objectives.
• Strong leadership presence with exceptional stakeholder communication skills.
• Strategic thinker with a data-driven, execution-focused mindset.
