Chief of Staff (Office of the CFO)
Navan is looking for a Chief of Staff to the CFO. This role will work in close collaboration with the company’s leadership team to drive strategic initiatives across the finance and business teams and ensure seamless executive operations.
What You’ll Do:
- Act as a trusted advisor to the CFO, providing strategic counsel and support on critical finance & business decisions
- Manage the CFO's office, including prioritizing topics, preparing briefing materials, and coordinating high-level meetings
- Manage weekly executive staff meetings including, but not limited to, setting the agenda, providing insights and analysis to inform strategic conversations and tracking follow through to increase accountability
- Support key strategic initiatives including board materials, investor presentations, town hall presentations, leadership meetings, and annual planning
- Drive best practices, communication, and coordination between our executives to enable effective collaboration across the organization
- Work cross-functionally with departmental leaders and stakeholders to kick-off, actionize, and provide support across key company initiatives
- Oversee our goal-setting process, working with our management team to set, align and track company goals
- Onboard key company hires (e.g., new VPs, Board members), ensuring that they have the context and support needed to successfully ramp up and perform their duties
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience in Chief of Staff roles, or Finance roles working closely with senior management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and comfortable interacting with senior leaders, external partners, and staff at all levels
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead a large portfolio of strategic initiatives and projects in a cross-functional environment on tight deadlines
- Thrives in ambiguous situations and has a bias for action, high emotional intelligence
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
The posted pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the compensation for this position and is subject to change based on business need. To determine a successful candidate’s starting pay, we carefully consider a variety of factors, including primary work location, an evaluation of the candidate’s skills and experience, market demands, and internal parity.
For roles with on-target-earnings (OTE), the pay range includes both base salary and target incentive compensation. Target incentive compensation for some roles may include a ramping draw period. Compensation is higher for those who exceed targets. Candidates may receive more information from the recruiter.
