The CIO of our Latin America business will provide technology vision and leadership that creates short-term and long-term value for the organization. You will be responsible for executing the overall business plan and acting as a champion for strategic change across departments and communities for technology services. The Chief Information Officer will work with leaders within Latin America and globally to develop a long-term technology strategy that is focused on security, application development, infrastructure and improving efficiency of support services while continually focused on improving outcomes. As a Chief Information Officer, you identify key issues and relationships relevant to achieving long range goals or vision.

What You'll Bring:

  • Accountable to successfully lead the Latin America Technology organization; across 10 LATAM countries.
  • Responsible for building a long-term vision that balances against short-term goals and aligns to companywide goals and objectives; including our OneTru implementation.
  • Create and oversee the overall Latin America IT budget; decide on technology funding and align budget to the greatest business value.
  • Develop a strong culture of continuous improvement and exceptional quality.
  • Strong knowledge of technical architecture and the proven experience to translate business needs into technical solutions; cloud experience preferred.
  • Lead with metrics; enable a “metrics that matter” environment that span across application development, infrastructure, security, and delivery.
  • Develop strategic relationships with the senior executives in a matrixed environment.
  • Implement and oversee internal and external controls and ensure adherence to all legal and policy requirements as it relates to security at TU Latin America.
  • Lead by example; motivate and develop TU associates in cross-functional, interdisciplinary teams to achieve tactical and strategic goals in a fast-paced environment.
  • Business focused leader; ability to leverage technology to scale revenue growth while working directly with external customers, board members and /or stakeholders to share our leading technology platforms and success stories.
  • Assist with M&A integration and align newly acquired business to TU’s technology strategy and Global Operating Model

The duties and responsibilities described above are the essential functions of the job. The qualifications below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.

  • Proven thought leader in great engineering and development practices, ability to set up a strong agile delivery practice, participate in enterprise architecture and deep expertise in large transformational programs; ability to be seen as the thought leader for all Latin America stakeholders and global technology teams.
  • Successfully developed and implemented a strategic vision; proven success in implementing changes with outcomes that would align to a top performing technology organization that is focused on delivery, security, and quality.
  • Experience in building high-performing engineering teams and has implemented modern application delivery practices; AWS or GCP experience highly preferred.
  • Proven ability to organize, plan and implement large strategic transformation programs; able to conceptualize, launch and deliver multiple IT projects on time and within budget.
  • Demonstrated ability to bring forward the benefits of IT to solve business issues while also managing costs and risk.
  • Experienced and comfortable with working in a matrixed environment; proven ability to be highly influential with or without direct control.
  • Experience in a technology product development and sales organization.
  • Analytically and quantitatively astute; comfort with financial planning and business case evaluation.
  • BS or BA in Computer Science, Business, or related discipline required. MBA, MS or other advanced degree is valuable.
  • Minimum 20 years of relevant experience with 8 -10 years of experience in supervisory role
