Charging Operation Specialist

Tesla sets the bar for what a trustworthy & resilient charging network can be. The Charging Operations team ensures that Tesla continues to deliver the best possible charging customer experience through proactive engagement and growth of the global charging network.

The Role

The Charging Operations Specialist works as part of the APAC Charging team. This dynamic project management role is responsible for managing system controls through site development from plan through opening and optimization of processes to help accelerate network growth. The individual will work closely with a wide range of internal stakeholders including our regional Deployment teams, Tools & Analytics, Pricing, Vehicle UI, and collaboration with global stakeholders.

1. Owner of Operations milestones for critical system controls for projects from plan to completion

2. Detail oriented work to ensure data in internal systems show correctly for drivers in Vehicle, App and web and for internal project management after site opening.

3. Maintain and develop process documentation to help innovate scalable, robust solutions which accelerate the charging team’s business goal

4. Educate Deployment team on processes if errors are found

5. Serve as the charging business partner for internal cross-functional teams

6. Continuously drive efficiency improvements with internal systems

7. Ability to identify and communicate problems, solutions and opportunities

• Superb communication skills

• Experience coordinating in fast-paced environments and teams

• Ability to manage multiple projects with an eye for efficiency and priority

• 3+ years of experience in operations, program or project management or related role

• Experience in B2B account management, and/or client servicing

• Spoken and written language skills in Japanese and/or Korean are highly desirable.

• Ability to anticipate challenges and solve before they become costly to correct

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study.

• Highly energetic personality, with a flexible attitude towards critical tasks

• Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word

• Experience with new process and systems implementation

• Great team player who has the ability to work independently as well as within a team dynamic

• Proactive, motivated, self-starter

• Strong attention to detail

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required; Power BI, Power Automate preferred

• Proficiency in SQL and Tableau preferred

• Proficiency in Python and proficiency in other languages

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with the Python data science stack (numpy/pandas/scikit-learn)

• Knowledge of relational databases, SQL and ORM technologies

• Experience programming in Spark, Hive, or other SQL-on-Hadoop technologies
