CFIN Business Analyst

Your role and responsibilities:

In this role, you will have the opportunity to bridge the gap between the technical environment and the business. Each day, you will use data analytics to assess processes and outline problems, opportunities, and solutions, to support decisions for new or changed Information Systems (IS) solutions or services. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting constantly in the continual service improvement process.

The work model for the role is: {onsite/hybrid} Bangalore, India

This role is contributing to FPDS (Finance Processes and Data Systems), particularly in SAP Central Finance work area that supports ABB globally.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Assist SAP CFIN Demand/Delivery Leads with day-to-day delivery support activities for Central Finance and related SAP Finance modules
• Support PMO and coordination activities such as tracking deliverables, preparing status reports, and maintaining project documentation
• Support governance routines including project plans, risk logs, action trackers, and status re-porting
• Assist with preparation, review, and maintenance of design and process documentation related to system changes
• Review and support ticket processing based on defined guidelines and process notes
• Perform data analysis, identify trends, and support reporting requirements
• Ensure proper maintenance of knowledge documents, transition materials, project trackers, and other supporting documentation
• Work closely with Functional & Solution architects, Process Architects, Finance users, Finance technology team, and external partners to support delivery outcomes

 

Qualifications for the role

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Engineering, Management, or a related field
• 1–4 years of experience in SAP, preferably in SAP Finance, FICO, or Central Finance
• Candidates with SAP S/4HANA training or certification
• Good understanding of financial accounting processes
• Basic understanding of SAP system design, configuration concepts, and data/integration flows
• Advanced MS Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
• Proactive, organized, eager to learn, and willing to take on new challenges
• Must be based in Bangalore
