DHL Global Forwarding has an opening for CDZ Specialist in Cameroon. In this role, you will provide day-to-day administrative support and readily available advice on customs and trade compliance activities to ensure clearance of freight documentation through the relevant customs authorities, in line with business strategy and objectives, as well as corporate guidelines and policies.

In this CDZ Specialist position

• You will, under direct supervision, support the delivery of customs and trade compliance processes and activities to optimize service and cost performance for customs clearance.
• You will perform assigned tasks of a generally repetitive nature for import/export documentation, such as receiving, reconciling, and consolidating/summarizing documents and information.
• You will undertake data capturing activities, feed data into customs operating systems, and set up master data for transactions.
• You will screen paperwork, update documentation, and support documentation archiving processes.
• You will execute the filing of customs entries and post-entry work/transactions.
• You will maintain customer part lists.
• You will support and maintain operational systems as per instructions.
• You will execute back-office duties such as scanning, filing, reporting, etc.
• You will regularly update shipment information and physical status.
• You will gather required information for duty, tax, and billing issues or discrepancies to support other team members.
• You will collect data to draft reports and updates for performance monitoring to support other team members.
• You will follow defined processes, systems, and methods for the delivery of assigned tasks.
• You will check recurring routine issues faced during delivery and escalate to the supervisor for inputs and guidance when required.
• You will research, identify, and obtain permits, licenses, and certificates required for customs clearance and general customs formalities.
• You will advise customers on legal and customs topics, including trade compliance matters such as shipments to sanctioned countries.
• You will contact customs authorities as required.

• Education Level: Vocational/Specialized/Technical/Certification.
• Experience Level: less than 2 years.
