Job Purpose:

In this role, you will drive sourcing activities for IT hardware categories supporting Data Center and business IT, including servers, storage, SAN infrastructure, and related support services. You will be responsible for developing and executing category strategies to secure competitive commercial conditions, managing supplier relationships, overseeing contracts, and governing a standardized hardware purchasing portfolio.

Working closely with local and global procurement teams, you will lead supplier negotiations and ensure alignment with business needs across multiple stakeholders. 

 

Your tasks:

  • Provide professional sourcing support for key business initiatives; conduct supply market research and analysis to support business decisions, investments, budgets, and the establishment of local or sub-regional framework contracts
  • Identify strategic sourcing opportunities and develop and manage strategic supplier relationships
  • Integrate procurement services at sub-regional and country levels for business stakeholders in scope, maximizing value contribution, benefit realization, and efficiency while ensuring customer satisfaction in terms of quality, price, and service
  • Lead strategic sourcing of goods and services to reduce costs while ensuring required quality and supply continuity for the business/function in scope
  • Conduct ongoing risk evaluations and implement mitigation measures as needed, including supplier risk assessments
  • Evaluate and compare suppliers based on sustainability KPIs
  • Apply master data– and AI-enabled negotiation techniques
  • Develop lasting partnerships with both established suppliers and startups
  • Manage complex contracts, including new contract types (e.g., contracts with startups)
  • Develop a deep understanding of the regional business, market trends, and category-specific dynamics
 

Your profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience/qualification
  • Over 4 years of relevant experience in procurement, ideally in IT procurement
  • Strong understanding of procurement practices and procedures, with category-specific expertise
  • Excellent stakeholder management and project management skills
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
  • Strong analytical thinking skills to support data-driven decision-making
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus (Czech or German preferred)
