Case Designer

Job Summary:

A Case Designer is responsible for providing insurance product and illustration support to a wide range of individuals: Internal Sales Consultants and New Business Team, Independent Financial Producers, and Institutional Financial Advisors. Though Annuity, Disability Income and Long-Term Care capabilities are a plus, this position includes a specific emphasis on Life Insurance products. This position is expected to be able to work independently and escalate issues appropriately.

Responsibilities:

  • Generate and revise life insurance illustrations based on advisor or team member requests, incorporating changes in underwriting, premiums, and case design as needed.
  • Log all illustration proposals in the CRM system according to established guidelines for accurate and detailed reporting; store documents following filing protocols.
  • Analyze client needs to recommend appropriate life insurance products and concepts, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and offerings.
  • Maintain expertise in life insurance products, case design software, and presentation tools; prepare and communicate sales proposals and presentations to producers, clients, and staff.
  • Order In-Force Ledgers from carriers upon request and ensure timely follow-up and review for accuracy.
  • Support field requests by providing necessary forms, prepared applications, and additional documentation as required.
  • Monitor and gather current marketplace information on product pricing, features, and new offerings to stay informed and competitive.
  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of electronic application submission platforms and serve as a resource for training and assistance.
  • Adhere to all established procedures and protocols to ensure compliance, accuracy, and efficiency in all case design and illustration activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the needs of the team.

Education and Experience:

  • High School, GED or related industry experience required
  • 0-2 years related industry experience, a plus but not required
  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail and analytical abilities.
  • Exhibits accountability, effective follow-up, and maintains confidentiality.
  • Communicates clearly and professionally, both in writing and verbally.
  • Collaborates well in team environments, including virtual teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and web-based platforms such as carrier and vendor websites.
