Role summary

We're looking for a VP of Fund Admin Services to lead the build-out of Caruso's US business and anchor our expansion into the world's largest private markets economy. This is a rare opportunity to use AI to revolutionise an industry that still runs on spreadsheets and manual processes, shaping a new-generation fund admin offering from the ground up, backed by a proven platform, a growing customer base, and a well-capitalized business. You'll work side by side with the global CEO to define the strategy, hire the team, stand up new offices, and evaluate M&A opportunities.

This role is built for an experienced fund administration leader who wants meaningful equity in a high-growth company and the runway to grow into a global executive role. You'll own US services end-to-end, partner with product and engineering to shape the platform for the US market, and be on the ground building the team, the offices, and the client base that anchor Caruso's next chapter.

What you'll do

  • Build and lead the US services team. Hire, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of fund accountants and investor services specialists across the US.

  • Partner with the CEO on US expansion. Work directly alongside the global CEO to set up new offices, establish the commercial model, and build Caruso's US market presence from the ground up.

  • Design scalable delivery. Build repeatable workflows on Caruso's platform as the operational backbone, and continuously raise the bar on efficiency and quality.

  • Shape the platform for the US market. Partner with product and engineering to surface US-specific requirements and AI opportunities, from fund structures and tax workflows to regulatory nuances, and help prioritize technology investment.

  • Drive client success. Lead senior relationships with CFOs, COOs, and Managing Partners at US private equity, private credit, and real estate managers, and deliver the service quality that earns retention and referrals.

  • Represent Caruso in the US market. Be a credible voice at industry events, in client boardrooms, and in strategic conversations that position Caruso as the modern alternative to legacy administrators.

What we're looking for

  • 10+ years in fund accounting and fund administration, with deep exposure to US private equity, private credit, and/or real estate funds. You've owned the numbers, not just managed the people owning them.

  • CPA qualification preferred (or equivalent professional accounting qualification such as CA).

  • Track record of building and leading teams.

  • Strong commercial acumen and hands-on experience owning a revenue or P&L line.

  • Systems-oriented thinker who understands how modern software can reshape fund admin delivery, not just a traditional services operator.

  • Client-first mindset with the communication chops to engage CFOs, COOs, and Managing Partners as a peer.

  • Ambition to grow into a global executive role as Caruso scales.

  • Ideally based in Dallas, Texas, however we are flexible for the right person. Willingness to travel domestically as the team and client base expand.

Benefits

  • Meaningful equity ownership. Be part of the leadership team driving Caruso's next phase of growth.

  • Build a local US fund admin team. Unlike traditional administrators, we don't outsource offshore. You'll hire and grow the team in the US and use AI to drive efficiency, so delivery stays in-house and quality stays high.

  • A role with genuine autonomy, impact, and visibility, sitting directly alongside the global CEO.

  • Industry-leading technology and a customer base of leading private fund managers.

  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage.

  • 401(k) retirement plan.

  • Generous paid time off and unlimited sick leave.

  • Extended parental leave.

  • Workstation package including MacBook Pro, dual screens, and AirPods Pro.

  • Flexible work arrangements as the US team and offices take shape.
