You’ll collaborate with teams across Apple to research, design, develop, test, and qualify camera hardware for Apple products. Together, we’ll craft a magical photography experience that redefines what millions of customers can expect from their cameras. The Camera Hardware Engineering group is responsible for the design, development, , innovation and testing of camera technologies for all related Apple products. Our target is to deliver superior camera hardware to enable outstanding camera user experience.

Description

Camera EE System Integration Engineer is responsible for camera module validation and FA of Camera Electrical Hardware related to objectives in-region. Investigating and establishing electrical solutions for camera modules & sub-system integration execution E2E from development boards to in systems. Interface as in-region support of new camera module development board bring-up and initialization. Join in early stage product scoping, prototype hardware, technology development and board/sub-system bring-up through early hardware and mock-ups. Assist camera EE engineers for failure analysis, solution space proposals and design optimization. Liaison with in-region cross functional partners for camera debug/failure analysis. (i.e system and other teams) Board level electrical validation and performance characterization. Self develop as an camera firmware power user to create and edit python scripts with available camera ISP controls and functions. Conduct data analysis and document results.

Minimum Qualifications

BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or industrial experience equivalent. Excellent English interpersonal and communication skills. Hands on with Python instrumentation, automation and data collection/analysis. Good EE fundamentals and excellent critical thinking skills. Skillful on various measurement equipment such as: oscilloscope, power supply, power analyzer, spectrum analyzer, high-speed probing, function generators, e-load, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

Good understanding of electrical noise, conducted and field coupling mechanisms Capable of leading different projects in parallel. Excellent process development and documentation skills. Must be extremely accurate and diligent in measurements and report creation. Python language scripting/automation experience Python based hardware instrumentation experience Knowledge of CMOS image sensor and camera module hardware Knowledge of camera system module integration and Image science and algorithms
