Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to purchase materials according to required technical specifications, price, delivery schedule, and terms for our Motion Traction division located in Genoa. Each day, you will ensure purchasing activities align with corporate purchasing policies and procedures. You will also showcase your expertise by identifying new suppliers in cooperation with the relevant category team.

You will be mainly accountable for:
Purchase materials in accordance with required technical specifications, price, delivery schedules, and contractual terms, negotiating with key suppliers and periodically renewing price lists, terms, and conditions
Initiate purchase orders based on approved purchase requisitions, in line with standard procedures, and confirm deliveries with suppliers
Track goods receipts to verify correct deliveries and ensure timely invoice processing
Monitor supplier performance (on-time delivery, quality, lead time) and resolve related performance issues
Identify and qualify new suppliers in collaboration with supplier quality and engineering specialists
Align supplier orders with customer requirements in terms of content, quality, delivery, sustainability, and cost
Support bid and proposal teams by providing relevant market and supplier information
Define demand forecasts in collaboration with Global Category Managers, part of the Global SCM Team based in Switzerland
Execute cost reduction and value optimization projects
Qualifications for the role
2–3 years of experience in a similar role is considered a plus
Degree in Economics or Engineering (Management, or similar)
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Good knowledge of Italian and English, both written and spoken (minimum B2 level)
Knowledge of SAP is an advantage
Strong negotiation skills, organizational abilities, analytical mindset, and results-oriented approach
Proven experience working with ERP systems and standard operating procedures
A collaborative, solution-oriented attitude, with strong written and verbal communication skills
