Reporting to the BTA Relationship Manager, this position will develop and execute the sales strategy in accordance with the Business Travel Accident (BTA) and Accident & Health (A&H) frameworks and growth targets. This role has accountability for revenue generation and overall account management for large multinational BTA clients.
The BTA Client Manager is responsible for the management of all aspects of the BTA sales for multinational clients with accountability for pitch development, relationship building, and implementation of best practices. With a strong focus on revenue growth, this role will drive strategies in collaboration with brokers, clients, product teams, and cross-functional partners. Delivering sustainable sales results while continuing to innovate from both solution and client engagement standpoint will define success in this role.
How you will create an impact
Sales:
Deliver compelling pitches and presentations to brokers and multinational clients.
Lead RFPs, pitches, and product demonstrations to secure new business.
Pursue new business through lead generation, strategic networking, and production meetings.
Articulate the value proposition of AIG’s BTA Assistance Program to brokers and clients.
Account and Broker Relationship Management:
Serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries and account management.
Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key brokers (e.g., Aon, Willis, Marsh) and clients.
Address client questions and resolve issues to ensure satisfaction and retention.
Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with brokers to monitor performance and drive deliverables.
Review broker surveys and implement actions to improve broker experience.
Business Development and Growth:
Drive retention, new business, and increased share of wallet in line with service agreements.
Utilize internal data and broker data to identify growth opportunities.
Ensure high visibility in broking houses to convert new business opportunities.
Identify and design opportunities for profitable growth, including schemes, facilities, and joint propositions.
What you’ll need to succeed
Business Development Skills:
A client-focused salesperson with in-depth understanding of BTA/A&H products and market dynamics; skilled at identifying client needs, customizing solutions, and articulating value propositions to drive sales closures. Strong negotiation prowess; able to handle objections, structure deals, and secure commitments while maintaining long-term client trust.
A proactive opportunity hunter who excels at lead generation, prospecting, and qualifying potential clients; adept at building and nurturing a robust sales pipeline through targeted outreach, networking, and leveraging data insights to prioritize high-potential accounts and accelerate deal velocity.
A persuasive communicator who thrives in client presentations and demos, crafting compelling narratives that highlight product benefits and ROI; proficient in adapting messaging to diverse client audiences, from executives to decision-makers, to influence buying decisions and foster upsell opportunities.
A resilient closer with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas in competitive environments; experienced in managing the full sales cycle, from initial contact to contract signing, while collaborating with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery and client satisfaction post-sale.
A relationship cultivator who builds enduring partnerships with clients and brokers, conducting regular check-ins, QBRs, and feedback sessions to uncover expansion avenues; skilled at cross-selling and upselling within existing accounts to maximize revenue growth and client loyalty.
Technical Skills & Expertise:
Extensive experience in insurance sales leadership, including oversight over multiple client segments and regions
Deep expertise in BTA/A&H programs, broker management, and client pitches
Knowledge of multinational sales environments
Strong experience in account management and deal-making acumen
Knowledge of market opportunities, pipeline management, lead generation, and broker networks
Established strong relationships with brokers, clients, and intermediaries
Demonstrated business savvy, analytical, and negotiation skills

For positions based in NYC, the base salary range is $105,000 to $148,000 and the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
