Responsibilities The Bus Proc Quality Sr. Manager is a “hands-on manager” that must use their strong technical and interpersonal skills and influential leadership to bring together cross functional teams to achieve overall food safety objectives. The successful candidate must demonstrate a passion for ensuring that each aspect of the food supply chain is equipped with necessary knowledge and authority to ensure preventive actions are established to ensure Quality & Food Safety in respective areas of the supply chain. Drive Quality & Food Safety initiatives through direct support with plants. Monitor, report and improve Quality & Food Safety performance in plants that are supported. Coach and train plant personnel to develop leadership, technical competence and effectively utilize system tools. Establish and maintain communication with support plants and Sector Quality. Develop programs and tools to monitor and drive continuous improvement. Support the development of the Quality & Food Safety strategy for Pepsi bottlers. Align Market Units, Divisions, and plant departments on Quality & Food Safety initiatives when applicable. Assess field capability and develop action plans to develop weaknesses and leverage strengths. Perform audits to ensure requirements are met. Interface with NAB to support respective regions. Ensure standard lab is implemented. Work with colleagues to assess, develop and execute strategy for Beverage Sector standardization. Build and sustain strong partnering relationships across the PepsiCo Supply Chain and externally with key quality leadership organizations. Develop and implement strategies and programs to mitigate Quality & Food Safety risks across the PepsiCo supply chain. This includes ensuring that customer requirements and regulatory changes are appropriately reflected in these programs to strengthen compliance. Raise the profile of Quality & Food Safety across the system and ensure Quality & Food Safety is embedded in the culture of the organization. Anticipate future needs of the business through trends and insights. Provide technical support to supply chain quality in handling food safety issues, sharing best practices, and enabling compliance to requirements. Evaluates potential trends within our supply chain and uses this information to proactively improve and strengthen our current processes. Plans promote, organize, and provide multi-plant Quality & Food Safety training activities. Drive the implementation of PBNA Quality & Food Safety standards. Ensuring regulatory compliance (FDA, Juice HACCP, …etc.) and the production of safe, quality, and wholesome food. Location: Respective Field Support Area Travel: 60% Plus The ideal candidate will be located in the South Division / Unit 2. Compensation and Benefits: The expected compensation range for this position is between $118,700 - $198,800. Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Food Sciences, Microbiology, Science, Engineering, or related fields Master’s Degree (preferred) 15+ years of related food / beverage experience HACCP Certification PCQI Lead Instructor (preferred) Required Technical Skills: Knowledge of beverage manufacturing processes: These include emulsification, blending solids, blending liquids, carbonation, filling, water treatment, packaging, cleaning, and sanitation technologies. Food Safety: Ability to understand physical, chemical, and microbiological causes of food and water contamination and design strategies to address these risks to company products. Knowledge of various pathogens and microbes associated with food production. Thermal Processing: Knowledge of a variety of disciplines such as aseptic processing and validation, engineering, mathematics, food technology, chemistry, and physics. Quality Principles: Knowledge and application of quality principles to detect and correct non-conforming materials or processes using modern quality problem-solving tools. Expert understanding of applicable food regulations: FSMA, cGMP, HACCP, and Food Safety Standards in accordance with FDA, USDA, CFIA, …etc. Extensive expertise in developing, implementing, and maintaining HACCP, Food Safety Plans, SSOPs, and SOPs in food manufacturing environments. Strong auditing and assessment skills. Leadership / People Skills: Strong leadership skills and the ability to drive change. Ability to lead cross functional teams, engage, motivate, and develop others. Must possess excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently in planning and implementing multiple projects and assignments. Relevant experience with GFSI standards and deployment of globally accepted Quality & Food Safety systems Strategic mindset to continue the journey of transformation.
