About the role

The Business Information & Automation team are seeking a permanent Business Intelligence Analyst to join them in the Melbourne office. As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will source and deliver all operational reporting requirements for Customer Solutions ensuring that daily business needs are met and sustained. You will also manage the delivery of real time information, hygiene of operational reports along with additional requests that have been approved for publication.
 

What you’ll be doing:
 

  • Design and develop new reporting and in readiness for move into production.

  • Ensure new datasets are tested and fit for purpose for agreed business reporting.

  • Identify improvements within current reporting suite that enhances operational performance.

  • Support and assist team members as required.

  • Proactively identify potential issues and opportunities, propose effective solutions to enhance processes and outcomes.

  • Review and optimise multiple data processing scripts, significantly reducing runtime and improving data accuracy.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with departments such as Customer Solutions, Quality, Sales, OSO and DARS to ensure seamless data integration and alignment.
     

What you’ll bring:
 

  • Proven experience leading or supporting data transformation and migration projects

  • Experience with modern cloud-based analytics platforms (e.g. Microsoft Fabric)

  • Hands-on experience with Databricks (Apache Spark) for large-scale data processing

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Power Automate for workflow and process automation

  • Experience integrating and analysing data from CRM platforms (e.g. Salesforce)

  • Familiarity with energy sector platforms such as Kaluza (OVO Energy’s platform)
