Responsibilities Job Summary: As a Building & Grounds Industrial Maintenance Partner, you'll maintain H-E-B facilities and systems in a professional manner to ensure safety, efficiency, and reliability. You'll support our mission to be a world class maintenance management organization using the latest in technology, processes, and procedures. Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions: • Maintenance / Troubleshooting / Repair & Replacement: • Buildings Performs basic office remodel skills Applies knowledge of proper dock maintenance methods Repairs / replaces basic plumbing fixtures Reads site drawings, symbols to repair / replace doors, walls, various types of flooring, and other types of materials used for building repair • Mechanical Repairs / installs power transmission equipment Repairs / replaces various types of mechanical apparatus containing bearings, belts, drives, sheaves, and sprockets Performs skill-level appropriate preventive maintenance (PM) • Hydraulics & Pneumatics Reads hydraulic schematics to repair / identify hydraulic system components Makes flow control adjustments and pressure adjustments to hydraulic / pneumatic equipment Performs skill-level appropriate PM on hydraulic and pneumatic systems • Fire Systems Applies knowledge of wet systems • Electrical Troubleshoots / repairs basic 120/277 VAC circuits for lighting and equipment Adheres to safe practices when working with electrical equipment The responsibilities and essential functions outlined above describe the general nature and level of work assigned to this position. Qualifications & Key Requirements: Work Experience: of experience in mechanical maintenance - electrical maintenance - welding - hydraulic / pneumatic systems - construction trades - Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Working knowledge / understanding of the principles of 3-phase AC voltage sources (480 VAC), the functions and use of amp meters and multimeters, and Ohm's law - Working knowledge of different types of sprockets, bearings, v-belts, drive belts, and sheaves - Strong organization and time-management skills - Strong written / verbal communication and skills - Ability to manage multiple priorities and shift focus between tasks; attention to detail - Initiative - Education: - Licenses/Certifications: Physical Demands & Working Conditions: Work while standing, sitting, stooping, walking, bending, with hands over head, and in prone position Climb; work from a ladder and other elevated work platforms (manlift, scissor lift, catwalk, silo) Lift and carry 75 lbs Work in extreme temperatures ranging from -20 to 130 degrees The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those a Partner encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
