Bridge Engineer (Special Bridges)
Missions/Main Duties
- Design new bridges and modifications to existing structures
- Perform structural analysis and calculations
- Prepare technical drawings, plans, and specifications
- Conduct site investigations and surveys
- Review and interpret geotechnical and environmental data
- Prepare cost estimates and project budgets
- Oversee and manage bridge construction projects
- Inspect bridges for safety and structural integrity
- Write inspection and maintenance reports
- Recommend and supervise repair or rehabilitation works
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory codes
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders
- Attend meetings and present technical solutions
- Maintain records and project documentation
- Min 12 yrs professional experience with 5 yrs Relevant Experience as Bridge Engineer
Profile/Skills
- Strong knowledge of structural engineering principles
- Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g., STAAD, SAP2000, AutoCAD)
- Understanding of relevant codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., Eurocodes, AASHTO)
- Project management skills
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Site inspection and assessment skills
