Internship - Atlassian System Engineer
About the role
Are you a final-year student pursuing a graduate, bachelor's, or master's degree in IT or Computer Science, looking for an internship? At Brainsquare, we offer you the opportunity to gain hands-on experience as part of our Atlassian Engineering team — a group of experts that works daily on real-world challenges for multinational clients.
As an intern, you’ll be guided by an experienced mentor and become part of a team that designs, configures, and optimizes enterprise collaboration environments. You’ll support the implementation of new features, migration or merging of complex Jira/Confluence projects, the development of scripts and automation, and the integration of external tools and APIs.
Internships are available in two periods:
September–December
January–June
We only accept students who need an internship to graduate.
Internship – Atlassian System Engineer
Your main tasks:
Join the Atlassian Engineering team and contribute to real configuration and implementation work
Support the automation of workflows using scripting tools
Learn how to manage enterprise Atlassian environments (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, etc.)
Assist in troubleshooting, project migrations, and tool integrations
Document your work clearly and share findings with the team
Collaborate closely with your supervisor and peers, using tools like Jira and Confluence
Requirements
What we are looking for in you:
Final-year student in Computer Science or IT-related program
A strong interest in system configuration, automation, and collaboration tools
A basic knowledge of scripting (e.g. Groovy, Python, Bash) is a plus
Curious, eager to learn, and proactive in solving problems
Comfortable communicating in English in a technical environment
Bonus points if you have prior experience with Atlassian tools (even as a user!)
