What are your contributions to the team?
- Work in a Catia V5 computer system to identify the needs for tools and parts for the manufacture of templates (drawings established by the engineering/method departments)
- Request parts from the purchasing department
- Operate conventional and CNC lathes/milling machines (Hyundai WIA).
- Operate press brakes, saws and drills to transform raw materials.
- Assemble the template parts and install them
- Use a CMM inspection machine
How to thrive in this role? Skills, knowledge & experience:
- DEC Mechanical Engineering, or
- ASP Tooling
- Basic knowledge of tolerances and GD&T
- For CNCs, the ability to do simple programming (mastercam) will be an important asset
- Working knowledge of Tracker Lazer and Polyworks system (an asset)
