The Chief Investment Office serves as a central hub for firmwide coordination, investment process stewardship, portfolio monitoring, and macroeconomic insight. The team distills proprietary insights from across the firm’s businesses, functional leaders, and regional teams to inform macroeconomic perspectives, surface investment themes, and ensure disciplined execution and clear communication across the organization.
The Associate will take on key responsibilities, including monitoring performance across Blackstone’s Private Equity platforms, driving strategic prioritization of the firm’s operational resources, furthering Blackstone’s portfolio data strategy including the deployment of advanced AI, and developing financial, operational, and investing insights from across Blackstone’s entire portfolio ecosystem. Effective team members are highly analytical, collaborate effectively with individuals across the enterprise, and can produce audience-appropriate communications of the highest caliber.
Responsibilities:
- Portfolio Monitoring, Analysis, & Reporting
- Analyze portfolio company performance, operating KPIs, sector dynamics, and peer benchmarks across Blackstone’s private equity platforms to surface trends and actionable insights
- Produce detailed suite of reporting products, including weekly/monthly updates, quarterly reports, and external communications
- Distill complex data into clear, succinct narratives tailored to varying audiences
- Data Architecture & Enhancement
- Partner with Finance and Investment teams to improve data quality, consistency, and richness across portfolio reporting infrastructure
- Support the firm’s AI-driven insights strategy by ensuring underlying data is structured and ready for advanced analytical applications
- Drive enhancements to proprietary surveys and identify opportunities to automate data collection and synthesis
- Serve as a key liaison to technical teams, translating business needs into development requirements
- Process Management & Cross-Functional Coordination
- Serve as connective thread between investment teams, operational groups, senior leaders, and portfolio companies – building relationships and managing workflows with tenacity and diplomacy
- Develop, document, and continuously improve processes for portfolio monitoring, data collection, and reporting cadences
- Drive rigorous follow-up across workstreams, ensuring accountability, clear communication, and timely execution
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in financial services or asset management
- Strong analytical mindset with the credibility to distill trends and insights from complex datasets
- Foundational knowledge of investing concepts, processes, terminology, and metrics
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the credibility to coordinate and persuade across functions and seniority levels
- Consistently produces high-quality work product under tight timelines
- Resourceful and intellectually curious, with a drive toward novel analysis and continuous process improvement
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and can manage competing priorities
- Adaptable and solutions-oriented, with a "can do" attitude in an evolving business landscape

Expected annual base salary range:
$125,000 - $175,000Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.
Additional compensation and benefits offered in connection with the role consist of comprehensive health benefits, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, and FSA benefits; paid time off; life insurance; 401(k) plan; and discretionary bonuses. Certain employees may also be eligible for equity and other incentive compensation at Blackstone’s sole discretion.
