Title: Therapist 

Reports to: Director of Telehealth 

Department/Location: Remote, Licensed in Massachusetts (LICSW/LMHC) 

 

Requirements and Schedule:

  • Licensure: Must be independently licensed as a therapist in the state of Massachusetts (LICSW, LCMHC). Highly preferred 3 years post independent licensure experience. Seeking experience in IOP/PHP settings.  

  • Schedule: This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) working with Adults. The Therapist will facilitate group therapy and conduct individual (1:1) sessions as part of our Massachusetts team with the opportunity to also cover some Biopsychosocial assessments with our Intake team.

    • Monday-Friday 12:00p-8:30p 
    • Therapists must be willing to obtain cross-licensure in additional states where Guidelight operates. All licensure fees will be covered by Guidelight.

Description: 

This role requires bilingual fluency in English and Spanish. As part of the interview process, all applicants will complete a bilingual assessment to evaluate language proficiency. 

 

Role Summary:  

The Bilingual Therapist will be responsible for providing high-quality care and therapeutic services to individuals dealing with various behavioral issues. The therapist will develop and implement treatment plans, conduct assessments, and work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver effective behavioral health interventions. 

 

Role Responsibilities/Competencies:  

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological and biopsychosocial assessments and evaluations, in both English and Spanish as clinically appropriate, to determine clients’ needs. 
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, ensuring cultural and linguistic relevance for Spanish- and English-speaking clients. 
  • Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including individual, group, and family therapy, delivered fluently in Spanish and English. 
  • Monitor and document clients' progress in both languages as needed, adjusting treatment plans to create a cohesive case conceptualization.  
  • Collaborate with outside outpatient healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and medical doctors, to provide comprehensive and continuity of care. 
  • Completes suicide risk assessment within identified time frames and with appropriate thoroughness and scoring, providing bilingual clinical communication and consultation with clinical leaders when applicable.  
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case reviews determining length of stay and level of care. 
  • Demonstrated cultural competencies and responsiveness when providing clinical services to diverse populations, including bilingual and bicultural communities. 

 

  • Assess, identify, and coordinate culturally appropriate community resources for Spanish- and English-speaking clients during treatment and aftercare planning. 
  • Adhere to all standardized Group Curriculum and Treatment Planning. 
  • Educate clients and their families about mental health and behavioral health concerns, providing verbal and written communication in both Spanish and English, while building supportive, trusting relationships. 
  • Comes prepared to weekly clinical supervision with relevant client updates, case formulations, and questions to support high-quality care. 
  • Adhere to all confidentiality and ethical guidelines as outlined by professional standards and laws. 
  • Stay updated on the latest research and developments in behavioral therapy and mental health.

Independently Licensed Opportunities: 

  • Provide clinical supervision to Associate Licensed clinicians as appropriate/needed 
  • Ability to serve as point of contact for emergencies if/when Executive Director is offsite 
  • Participate in the hiring process of teammates as well as serving as mentor for new therapists 

 

Required Qualifications: 

  • A master's degree in psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field. 
  • Valid state licensure in the state applicable (Add appropriate acronyms)   
  • Willingness and ability to obtain additional state licenses, as requested 
  • Bilingual, English/Spanish and history providing services as a Bilingual Therapist (Written/Spoken).  
  • Experience in behavioral therapy and counseling. 
  • Group Facilitation experience. 

Preferred Qualifications:  

  • Relevant PHP/IOP experience

Pay Range
$80,000$95,000 USD
