Unit Description:
Baptist Health Lexington Surgical Services Department encompasses several key areas: the Pre-Op Department, 20 operating rooms with a business office staff responsible for scheduling, a Postoperative Care Unit, an Endoscopy Department with dedicated pre- and post-op areas, and a Sterile Processing Department.
Description:
- Processing patient supplies and surgical instruments.
- Decontamination of instruments, equipment and patient reusable supplies.
- Assist with maintaining departmental inventory.
- Ensures positive customer relations interactions.
- On call weekends, weeknights, and holidays by rotation.
Requirements:
- Certification IAHCSMM or CBSPD (Preferred)
- BCLS by the end of orientation.
